Gossip Girl episode recap: “The Magnificent Archibalds”

thanksgiving is normally a dead for now to show appreciation for the people we screw and the things we secure. but on the loftier east side, that’s just not how they roll. this week’s episode of gossip broad (nov. 17 on the cw) proved that things detrain b leave a diminutive more complicated during the holidays.

At the beginning of the episode things buy levaquin at the Humprey residence still aren’t patched up. It turns out that Jenny has been spending her nights crashing at the Bass residence thanks to Eric who has been sneaking her. Since Lily and Bart were out of town, they were unaware that Jenny was spending the night. And Serena was too occupied with artist Aaron to take notice?but more on that later.

Jenny was finding out more about the emancipation papers so that she could legally split from her parents and sign the contracts with a manager so that her fashion dreams could get underway. Once Rufus finds out that Jenny was staying with Eric, he immediately calls Lily who explains that he needs to calm down and that she will talk to Jenny for him. Since it is almost Thanksgiving, Rufus really wants Jenny to be with her family.

But Jenny isn’t the only one who doesn’t want to be with her family when they carve the turkey. Blair is fed up with Eleanor’s new love, Cyrus, who has moved in and begun taking over all the Waldorf family traditions himself. Instead of having her father’s famous pie and a home-cooked meal, Cyrus has planned an evening out at a restaurant. The beginning narration was absolutely priceless and pretty ridiculous?comparing Blair’s situation to the Native Americans getting pushed off their land. Ummm?yeah, I think that the Native Americans had it a little bit worse. Anyway, Eleanor is excited about the family starting new traditions and explains that she has a surprise that she plans on revealing during Thanksgiving dinner. Of course, Blair forces Dorota to squeal (I loved Blair’s “Who do you work for?” line) about how Cyrus proposed to Eleanor the night before. When she finds this out, Blair takes to the streets with Dorota and plans to spend Thanksgiving wandering the streets instead of cooped up with Cyrus and Eleanor.

The Bass family seems like they are on the way to having a normal Thanksgiving, with the addition of a few guests. Obviously Jenny will be joining them, but so will Aaron, who will be meeting Serena’s family for the first time. Serena is going nuts with the whole “dating-other-people” thing, but during a romantic dinner Aaron tells her that he is officially a “one-woman” guy and wants to see her exclusively. Serena is giddy with excitement and mentions that she should have brought champagne to celebrate, but then Aaron drops a bomb about how he is basically straight-edge levitra online and needs to be around people who aren’t going to bring him down. When Serena hears this she puts on a front about how she’s practically an angel?which we all know wasn’t always the case. Looks like she’s not being completely honest about everything once again.
